I am having computer problems this morning. My MSN will not let me log on. That is where everything I have is stored......I managed to get here through Internet Explorer. I have no idea if it's my problem or a net work problem but I am calling my repair person.....when I don't have access to my 'stuff' I feel like I am isolated on a deserted island..... I have a friend who sends loads of forwards, anyone up for bets on why I can't log on

Sounds like it's MSN's browser. If you are still able to connect through IE it's not the internet connection. I would try troubleshooting by using MSN's software or contacting them. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful... Good Luck! Even if you're using MSN and feel you might be with them for awhile, you should back-up your information. I personally do not like ISP browsers because they are limited in their internet functionality and gather all of your surfing habits. I always use IE or opera. For the record, I love OPERA! It just can't be used with certain webpages

I could access my information through IE but I am going to have the computer person over to hook up my scanner and have her check things out. There is something I don't recoginze on my User Account. It says ASP.net Machine A Limited Account-password protected..... I only have one machine and my grandson and I are the only Users. So what is ASP.....

The ASP.net has to do with something called the net framework. It is mostly something that you would use if you doing some web programming on a server on your computer although it has some other uses. I know that because I use it on occassion. It's not something that should do any harm.

Don't open those forwards no matter how juicy they look!
I had that happen with MSN a bit. I have been transferring things to AOL since the new puter arrived. Free for six months, they usually give you more time after that. I am wanting to go to cable or DSL, it is just the location of where our puter is housed that makes that more difficult. DSL should work ok. AOL and MSN won't play nice together. Hope you find out what is goingon.

It was an MSN problem and I could access through IE but the other way is so much easier. It is set up through Dell. I have Charter Cable Internet and it's great.

I want to get the Charter Cable. It is expensive but I don't spend much on other forms of entertainment in the winter months. However, the back of the house is 3 stories up and it isn't easy to get cable up here. So we are still standing off on whether or not the computer goes to one of the two other floors where cable is easier to access.
I have been happy with MSN most of the time and never had liked AOL much. But I am too cheap to pay for MSN when the AOL is free for so long. I have been busy sending phone companies, etc. my new email so I can get billing sent to the right email.

My MSN is free. I have never paid for it. I just use the free hotmail. It was set up on my Dell when it came.....

AOL is set up on this Dell we just bought. And Charter uses MSN as its main page. Around here they do.

The sent me an AOL cd for 1000 hours free but I never used it. I had friends tell me I wouldn't like it so I never tried it. I have had very little problem with it....and since I got Charter I have had no problems with the Internet.

Computers Working at Night Message: I've often been asked if you should leave your computer turned on during the night. I now have the answer as to what happens to your computer while it is unattended during the night while you sleep. Click on the link to see what goes on if you leave your computer on during the night while you sleep. Click here: http://www.justracin.net/is.swf

I think mine went to sleep when I did. I was getting slower and slower and sometimes locking up. My son, who knows more than how to type which is about all I have any proficiency at, did a virus or spyware scan and eliminated about 20 questionable things! Glad my house door locks do better than whatever locks my computer has. LOL.
