News: I am not at all open minded about hate directed toward other human beings, or about bigotry, bullying, slurs, innuendo, prejudice, and degradation in terms of another's gender, religion, weight, race, age, sexual preference, or economic status.

Since there is so much misinformation out there these days, I'd like to bring facts to this thread to counter the propaganda that is so rampant in our corporate driven world. this will usually be driven by experiences in my daily life.

#1 Avocados can be picked too green! This is a result of big agribusiness sacrificing quality and nutrition for shelf life and presentation. If you cut into an avocado and it is watery and tastes like grass, it's been picked too soon. Avocados are creamy when ripe and contain more fat and nutrition in the creamy state.

From the opium of custom...To the ledges of extremes..Don't believe it till you've held it..Life is seldom what it seems..But lay your heart upon the table..And in the shuffling of dreams..Remember who on earth you are.

If budget cuts to local municipalities and state governments had not forced layoffs of teachers and policemen and other public sector workers, unemployment today would be at 6%! If we were to invest in much needed infrastructure repair and improvements, unemployment would be lower than 6%!

Without built-in-obsolescence, people would have jobs repairing things. Without built-in-obsolescence, manufacturers would have incentive to make things more durable. Without built-in-obsolescence we would have less garbage. Fact: Our throw away society has created problems that far outweigh the convenience of throwing things away!
