With the help of all of your prayers, I wanted to say Thank You..

My husband had his Pet/Ct scan last Tues, with results on Thursday before his treatment..
The lymph nodes are back down to normal size.. no sign of enlarged nodes any where else, so it had not spread before or during treatment!!.. He will have one more 8 hour treatment in 2 weeks, start radiation in Sept.. 5 days a week for 6 weeks, and he is done!!..
When the Dr. said last month, if this treatment isn't working, the next step would be bone marrow transplant, I certainly froze up.. I tried to think positive, but, it was rough.. So, I did expect the worst, and we ended up with the best news.  Its been a rough 5 months, and its not over yet, but with the prayers, phone calls, and emails, it has really helped.. Bingo has really been great about keeping in contact and giving me hope when I was down... Briar Patch has been good to me mentally also.. The closeness you all have, and reading what you all are doing, gives me a good feeling... When one is down about something, you have family/friends that are there to help you thru it.. A nice word, sending a hug or pat on the back, to that person, anyone can tell the closeness you all have..

Again, Thank you Briar Patch family for being there, and so many times, giving me a chance to smile .. there were times, when I didn't think that was possible..

Oh my gosh Country Girl, what great news.  I had a few people on my list to check on this week to update my prayer list and you were one of them.  We do Blessing reports at Wednesday night Bible study and since it was on hold for 3 weeks because the minister's daughter was getting married, I had a lot of catching up to do.  This week I will definitely have a praise report with your husbands good news.  We may be a small church but we have powerful prayer warriors and our Wednesday night study is all about prayer.

I know your friends with granny7 and I haven't been getting any emails from her lately.  She is another one I need to check on.  I know her husband has problems and they are also on my prayer list so I am praying nothing is wrong there.

Just so you know, we won't stop praying until we know your husband is back to 100% so keep us posted.

Last Chemo treatment was yesterday.. It was pushed back a week because of bronchitis, but he is doing much better now.. I am going back to work as a Tour Guide on chartered bus trips the end of the month.. I talked to the Secretary at the office and she said, "oh Betty, you sound so different, such a change in your voice".. I hadn't realized how down I had sounded over the phone previously.. But, all is well, and again, I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers thru all of this.. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times.. Power of Prayer does work..

Today, my husband said he can't wait to grow his hair back, and he also said, I will never complain about shaving, or having ear and nose hair.. lol.. His sense of humor has returned..
