Our hearfelt sympathy to Pat and her family as they say "Goodbye until we meet again"  to Bill. May their hearts be uplifted knowing forum friends are praying for them tonight.

Thank you Sammy...I felt everyone's presence as we bid our final farewell. I plan to think of each day as the first day of the rest of my life.
I think our family is handling Bill's death pretty well. Probably because the past few years weren't very good for him. He could no longer drive, he could barely walk without a walker, because he lost part of a lung...he had trouble breathing, his memory was rapidly declining and he couldn't hear very well.
I am trying to focus on all the good times and keep his memory alive...but, I still have to go and pick up his ashes (and that will be difficult) sad

It was difficult for my cousins wife to pick up his ashes but when she did, she said she felt a closeness and it made her make her own final request. she will be cremated and her ashes will be mixed with his and they will spend eternity together twice. In heaven and on earth .
