Gosh it has been so long since I have blogged here. Shoot I don’t even think I am nearly the same person I used to be the last time I was here.

So many things have happened since then. Some of the things have been good things, and some of the things have been bad things. However, all of the experiences have been learning experiences none the less.

For starters my children and I are very active in our community. We are home schooling as usual with tons of other families. Home schooling has been a real experience. We have met so many wonderful people. The kids have been able to be a part of tons of exciting activities thanks to home schooling.

1.My eldest daughter is now actively involved in training dogs. She is mostly working with agility courses. She is also very active in numerous reading activities. She is also into Hannah Montana like most girls her age.

2.My middle daughter is very active in music. She loves to play the piano. Also thanks to the Jenny McCarthy books she is not showing hardly any signs of Autism anymore. (That is a total Blessing.) She is also into barbies, and Littlest Pet Shop.

3. My six year old son he is basically into video games, reading and playing.

I am in college working on a degree. Working on a degree has been kind of rough. I am currently taking Intermediate Algebra. Algebra is never a walk in the park. My second class is classroom management. Classroom Management is really a fun class.

I have also been very active working on so many different projects. I prefer not to go too much into detail. It has really been exciting though. My career has allowed me to meet some really wonderful people.  It has also allowed me to really open up and let myself go. I don't think I could ask for a better job ever.

There have really just been so many things that have changed. So many that it would be hard to name everything.

Over all my family has been totally blessed! I am thankful and extremely happy!

Cheering  Beth, congratulations on going back to school.  You can never have too much education.

I always did admire you for home schooling your children.   I know so many home schooled children who are scholastically ahead of the children their age who attend public schools.

Good for you Beth. It will so worth all your hard work. Two of my grand daughters were home schooled. I was at first leery about it. Some of the family and friends also were very sceptical. Since my daughter's husband was in the Military. it really worked out well. Everyone said they would suffer from no social inter action. Not true. They were active in church and played sports etc. One is now graduating this spring with degrees in education and getting married in  Dec. The other leaves after Christmas for an internship in Ecuador for Missionary work. I credit my daughter with making them the strong young ladies that they have turned out to be.So, bottom line Beth, it will be taxing ,but will be well worth it. Kudos to you. Cheering

Oh Beth . . . you've been missed.

My daughter-in-law also home schools and her children are excellent readers etc.  Three have now gone to public school and have not had any problems mainstreming in.  She is still home schooling two.

My daughter is in college as well and she is soooo excited to be finished with all the math classes she has to take.  There was a big sigh of relief from me and her dad as well.  We wondered if she would ever sleep again with all the homework and study groups etc.

Best wishes to you and so glad that you once again post. You are a ray of sunshine with all your good news.

Thankyou all for the nice things you have said. It is nice to know that there are other home-schoolers out there.

I will be honest when I first started home-schooling I had no idea what I was doing. However; since then I don't know if I could ever quit. It has brought my family and I so close together. It is nice to learn with the kids.

As far as college I too will be glad when all the math classes are over. the assignments are sometimes a bit much. However; I know it will all be worth it in the end.

Today was a really good day. For starters the kids and I spent most of the afternoon cutting quilting squares. We are in the process of making several quilts.

After we got done cutting quilting squares we headed into town. We went to the drive in for a double feature. We watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and Madagascar 3. Both movies were really cute. My personal favorite was Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I am a sucker for a good dog movie though. I love dogs.

It has been so busy that I haven't had time to do much of anything. The suicide hotline has been very busy. With christmas coming up there are many people that are alone. Some people have lost loved ones in Iraq, some have family in Iraq. Some people have lost jobs, houses ( due to spring storms and fires.) some people are alone due to old age.

Will everyone one here please just say a prayer for all the people hurting and lonley. Please pray that people find hope and someone to just care this holiday season and threw out the entire year really.

Sometimes it is very hard to runt he suicide hotline because you never know what to expect from day to day. However; I am not sure what else I would be doing. My heart just aches for people that are depressed and hurting.

Again please stop and say a prayer for people. Plus if you haven't already maybe give thanks if your life is halfway decent.

Have a Merry Christmas Everyone .. Hope it is blessed with love, compassion, and lots of warm feeling.

Have a wonderful Christmas and an even better New Year!

Beth, I pray daily for the lonely and hurting people out there, especially at this time of the year.  Bless you for the work you do and for your kind heart.  Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to you and yours.

Grand daughter was married Sat night. Beautiful Christmas wedding. She was so elegant and beautiful. So much promise ahead for them.Their Pastor centered on their involvement in their church and how they daily worked with the youth. It was such a heartfelt ceremony. She will graduate in May and then start her teaching career. He has already graduated and has a great job. She said in talking to me, we wonder why everything is coming together for us. I told her because they walk in God's footsteps. Their closing song was Joy To The World. And it truly is. The best to you GA and Beth. You are in my thoughts this beautiful time of year. Merry Christmas and may your New Year be bright. Jo Ann

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. My Christmas was pretty good. The kids, hubby and I stayed home and relaxed. It was great to just set back and watch the kids play. It was also great to play with some of the toys also lol.

 God Bless You ALL!

Anyone have any New Years Wishes this year? Anything that you are going to try to change?

The air is nice here in Texas today. I have two weeks off of school. Yeah!! That means no Algebra for a few days. Don't get me wrong I love math. Math is my favorite subject. It is just Algebra is time consuming.

I also have a week off of the suicide hotline. SOme of the other girls are running it this week. Several of us girls take turns listening to people and praying with them. We have met so many wonderful people just offering an ear. Each person we listen to is so special and beautiful inside and out! It is so wonderful to see people go from being down and out to becoming in love with life.

This past week a former Miss America picked up our outreach and added it to her website. She has been calling and very interested in the outreach team.

God is so moving!!! He totaly rocks!

New Years resolutions.................. .I want to change the world.....I know it can be done one person at a time, so why not?

Beth, I think I told you I worked a suicide hot line years ago.  It's such a wonderful feeling when you can help someone by just listening and being a friend.  That's really what people need, someone who cares enough about them to listen to what they have to say.

Yes you told me you worked the suicide hotline sometime ago. I am so glad that you have a kind heart. As far as saving the world one person at a time, you are already doing that. Simply by being you and caring .

Some might get tired of hearing me talk about the lord. However; I can't stop. If I don't talk about him I would be fake. God is my best friend. Shoot for a very long time he was my only friend. He has helped me over come so much... He brought true loving people in my life. He showed me that I don't have to be some big business person to be loved. He showed me that i don't have to have an eating dissorder, be rich or even have friends in high places. All anyone has to do is just be themseleves and he knows and sees. he loves anyway.

God is every single thing to me. He has made my life feel so full and just real. God has been placing it on my heart to learn more and more about love. He has also been placing it on my heart to keep talking no matter what!
