The CN Guestbook has officially been consolidated with the AAD forums.  I for one will miss it.  I can remember when I first got on the internet and found out how to serf the web; I found the guestbook and it put me in contact with people I hadn't heard from in years.  We had a lot of fun reminiscing about old times.   I remain in contact with a lot of them to this day.

It's a wait and see game as to whether people will navagate to AAD.   The format is totally different.  Maybe they will create an area like the guestbook.  I hope so because I enjoyed the content of a lot of those posts, especially the ones about the past.

I haven't looked at what they have done with the guestbook yet.  I think one of the things that people probably liked about it was that it was simple.  I imagine some people will not like having to go to AAD.

I think you're absolutely right.  They will lose some good posters, the ones with stuff about the past.  It was also a place for area information to be exchanged and I don't think that will happen on AAD.  I hope I am wrong, but I think the people in Danville who used the Guestbook view it as just another loss for Danville.
