(Hey, I know CA is the land of layers of clothes to do or undo, but how about: It was so cold in S.F. that people had to run out and buy ice scrapers but didn't know what they were and none were available anyway?)

It is so cold that the two swans out at Sunset flew south today! After reading the CN-Guestbook, they headed straight for Deltona, FL!

It's so cold here that the words came out of our mouth in chunks of ice and we had to fry them to see what we said.

It's so cold here, and I'm not stretching this one icy cubic centimeter, the forecasters are going so delirious that they robotically say it will be 60 plus degrees here in a day or two!!!

The end is truly near if Danville in early Jan. has 60+!!

We beat you by a couple of days, it's 77 right now, but that's not unusual for Texas. I went out to start my mower to mulch the last of the leaves and it wouldn't start...so, I cleaned off my patio furniture...
COLD?Huh What's that? evil

In protest of the totally unfair 60deg.F temps. today, I donned my usual 7 winter layers of clothes, hats, boots etc. and went out front and marched up and down Harvey St. with my snow shovel raised like a placard, chanting "We want cold! We want cold!" hoping to attract a following. Alas, no one, (no sane one, that is) joined in, though a few drifters did follow me for a little while.

LOL! Very good, Pat! I better not get into a snowball fight with you! By the way, at 9:17 PM now, it is lightning over in the west. Strange for Jan. 7th....
