Say Butterfly; Put a big plate of snickerdoodles on the window sill and you'll see Mac running in.

I was hoping that things would be different on the other forum, but I guess not. I think this will be my home now if  you don't mind. I think that we should throw a party when Mac gets here.

That actually happened when I lived in Nebraska.  I was baking snickerdoodles and had the kitchen window open.  The neighbors were in the yard raking leaves and I looked up a few minutes later, they were at the window sniffing the aroma of the cookies wanting to know what I was making that smelled so good.  Of course, I had to give them some straight out of the oven.

If Mac gets to them first, you can forget about him sharing, lol.

That's why we invited you here girlfriend, we already figured out things weren't gonna change so we just came over here where it's nice and quiet.

That is, until the party starts !  Of course we'll have to have Angel get ahold of the firemen for us.  I told her we were here.

Just stopped in to check out the place and say howdy to everyone.  Had to do some grocery shopping today and that really wears me out.  Think I'll have a cool drink and rest my feet before I head home.  Gram always said "no rest for the wicked" so today I must have really done something awful.  As soon as I walk in the door, I will have cats twined around my ankles begging for supper and the dog barking at the door to go out.  But you just gotta love them.
Like the decor here and the laid back atmosphere.  Brought an extra coffee mug to hang on the rack.
Well, time to feed the kids.  Will stop back later.

Ok Butterfly, you cannot really be a full fledged member of the baby boomers if you don't know what Ripple is!! For us poor kids we mixed it with seven up and had a good evening and a horrible morning!

(Boone's Farm, Strawberry Hill?)

I saw where Mac mentioned yesterday that he might be into franchising.

Good Evening Everybody! I too have been lurking and decided tonight was the best night to get things rolling.
I have only one suggestion and it's just a small one. Can we call the place McGregor's?
I would enjoy doing both places for the moment. As most of you are aware I really never got into the higher profile subjects on either Forum. I am guilty of what I call skimming. I skim over conversations and admit I don't throw myself into the fire. It's not that I don't have an opinion because I do. I am just not as passionate on some matters as others. I tend to stick to local issues facing Danville or the Danville area.
Ok with that being said brings me to McGregor's.
McGregor's is my home as it is your home. McGregor's here will be much of what you expierenced on the other Forums.
I posted this last night on McGregor's thread. I would like to share it with you because it applies here as well.
When you wake in the mornings the aroma coming from McGregor's will put a yearn in yer tummy. We have Breakfast At McGregors which consist of volunteer laborers hosting kitchen duties.
These Hosts prepare their meal to perfection in taste, texture, non fat content with no calorie intake. These Hosts change their menu periodically.
McGregor's also boast McGregor's Daily Menu. Again, Hosts prepare their daily "Special" offering delicious yummy tummy delight.
McGregor's offer you relaxation in whatever environment you feel most comfortable. We have a room full of recliners. Each recliner is equipped with headsets. Each headset is equipped with Internet Heavenly Audio. Up to date technology allows you to Name The Song and it will instantly be played by it's original artist.
Back massage with or without heat.
Snack tray and beverage compartments. Each recliner is equipped with "Grandma's" hand sewn quilt to keep you warm on a January night in the Midwest.
Once you sit in this chair an automatic response will be sent to the McGregor staff. You will be waited on the entire time you sit in that recliner. Press the red button and be pampered by McGregor's. Eat Drink and be Merry because your stay at McGregor's will be a stress free environment where you drop your troubles at the door. Your politics, your religion, your negative words of any kind is strictly prohibited in McGregor's.
The game room which is usually referred to as the back room host birthday parties of Forum users. Each poster receives a complimentary dinner at McGregor's in celebration of their birthdays.
We have 3 different wide screen televisions that can play multiple sporting games at one given time. Audio headsets allow you to tune in any of these sporting games. The aroma of hot dogs and beer surrounds airspace of your headset on request. Nothing beats all the fun at the old ballpark. We will get you as close as you can get.
Finally, the fellowship at McGregor's. Friendships have developed throughout more than two years of McGregor's. Just ordinary people from all walks of life reminiscing about the "good Ol Days" in Danville.
McGregors was born on August 17th 2003. After that date McGregor's is responsible for creating friendships that would not have taken place otherwise. Many have never met each other and that's ok too. Maybe someday they will.
All in all McGregor's is a place where you just feel at home and wash the dishes when needed. Sweep and tidy up wherever it's due.
Tell a joke, pass gas and blame it on Mollie. Just kick back and just be yourself.
McGregor's may expand into future franchising and all rules, fun and jokes apply there as well.
Welcome, and...........always remember McGregor when you bake your next batch of cookies.

Ok now, I have been very busy the past few days. It seems October has always been an active month for me. Lets take this nice and slow. I will be less active once this month has been concluded. My "winter months" which I also refer to as my hibernation, allows me to put more of myself into what I enjoy most. In the meantime I will need all of you to help put things in order.
I am also requesting from all you wonderful cooks to put together a menu and select a day of the week for that meal to be prepared.
I will be visiting both sites each and every day. What goes on over there>>> stays there. What goes on over here<<<< stays here.
I believe thats the only way it will work for everybody. One thing is certain is I am not a back stabber. My loyalty is with my friends. Wherever my friends are.
So please bear with me and we can make this place rock.  smiley
