We did share a burger.  I had some Sirloin Burgers in the Freezer so I fixed us one and some fries (in the oven)  I tasted pretty good and Sylas loved the fries.  His dad just picked him up so I can get a good nights sleep tonight.  His mom works till 11 but his dad is off.  She has to go back in at 7 but his dad is off again tomorrow.......

I did get a nice surprise this afternoon.  Spiritman sent me a spring bouquet for our anniversary........ It's beautiful......

oh wow!  Bit of advice:  Do Not Get Close To Blow Out Those Candles!!

Going to be around 70 degrees today but very windy. I have been lazy this morning. A little of this and that but haven't made it to the shower yet. I need to cook today and still thinking about what it will be.

Tomorrow we have to go to the car dealer. They didn't have us initial a paper, supposedly that we were given preferring pricing, whatever that is.  Car didnt seem too well priced to me!  And the protection package for the interior and exterior, that contract has to be reprinted and signed. I think I probably signed Judy on that one. Their message only said the bank needs it reprinted and signed again.

Price of gasoline, besides a car wash, they need to top off our tank for driving back over there. There is a Buick/GMC dealer here in town but we have never been able to make a decent deal with them. We don't buy new cars frequently, but have bought three from this dealer in Cahokia.

I saw my big bro who lives in San Antonio with his two granddaughters in Ft Worth area, girls on horses, all wearing shorts, so looks as if it is warm weather near Pat. Hope East and West coasts are good weather too, we sure have good weather today except for high winds.

Pot luck at church today.  I made chicken/noodles and Sylas scarfed them up big time.  Also did biscuits, Strawberry bundt cake with peppermint cream cheese glaze and coconut cream pie.  All that was left was about a cup of noodles (I saved them for Sylas) and 4 pieces of cake which I had to hide from George.

It was so windy here that it took Sylas breath away.  He loves to be outdoors but this wind is horrid.

This morning the sun is shining and while it won't be as warm today as yesterday, I don't think its as windy either. Mason has a head cold or allergies, clear nasal mucus, and a cough. I imagine he will stay with us tomorrow.  Molly won't let him stay without her. She isn't a lot to take care of, but she forgets some of her independence when she is here. Grandma, I want. Grandma, can I have? Grandma, please get this down, that kind of thing.

Need to hide this computer away and do some housework and packing for heading to Evanston this week. Celebrating two special birthdays on Saturday. Two March 5 birthdays, one #2, and one #5.

My grandson Cody will be 17 tomorrow and Christopher will be 15 on the 6th....... where has the time gone?

I rarely see their dad anymore since he got married.  He is busy remodeling their trailer.  He built two decks on it, re-carpeted and Kathy told me he has created beautiful walls of all of George's pen and ink drawings.  She is so impressed with his abilities.  He has a knack for building and creating..... just like George did.

Bingo, have a safe trip and enjoy......

GA...I am so happy that Eric is settling down and hope he and Kathy make it last forever.... Cheering
I know what you mean about time flying so fast...Jackson just lost his first tooth last weekend and it seems like yesterday that he didn't have any teeth to lose!

I worked a little in the yard yesterday and am sneezing and dealing with watery eyes and a scratchy throat. It's drizzly today...so, I'm staying in with my tissues... tongue If the sun comes out, I may treat myself to some new nails at the nail salon (I don't go to a hairdresser because I cut and color my own hair) so, I get my nails done probably once a month or more. undecided It makes me feel like I'm doing something for myself...
and I am!!! Angel Halo

Devastating storms in Missouri and Illinois last night.  10 dead in Harrisburg, Il and the toll is likely to rise because they are still digging out.  100 injured there.  1 dead in Puxico, the next county to the west of us.  Still digging out there too.  Lot's of damage.  Also hit Branson and there was a death there also.

You cannot imagine the devastation.  George is glued to the TV.  We got a call at 5:07 to take cover because the storm was headed our way.  I could hear the hail and worried about Connor and Sylas because Lauren and the boys sleep upstairs at her grandmothers house and they were in the path of the storm.  I couldn't go back to sleep so I will need a nap later.

I was going to get my hair cut and get a perm today but my hairdresser is in Columbia so I have to wait another week!

We are supposed to get storms tonight, but I'm hoping that the mountains break them up before they get to us.  We have friends who live near Branson.  I called his cell this morning when I heard about the storms, but have not heard from them yet.  It seems like we've always lived in tornado country, first Danville, then SE Nebraska, STL and now NC.   I think we must be bringing this weather with us from the Midwest, because NC is not known for tornado's.

Oh, you are so wrong about that Butterfly.  North Carolina is known for tornadoes just not the massive ones like we had last year.

So glad to hear ours and us escaped the storms wrath this time. Because of baby virus and storms we delayed leaving for Chicago until tomorrow. We didn't want #3 driving alone in stormy weather tomorrow. Mom and I were just on that strip of 76 two weeks ago Sunday when I visited her and drove her to Branson, 12 miles or so from her house in Ozark, MO.  76 was unusually busy that day and I couldn't make a left back onto the highway so I went right and turned around at the shuttered Grand lot. I saw a pic of the restaurant next door to it, and heard that a nearby theatre had exploded. Wondering if it was the Grand which was certainly Grand when built but for sale when we were there two weeks ago. So much death and destruction and so early in the storm season -- although it seems no month is exempt from severe storms anymore.

Today is warm and I can't see the wind so hopefully today will be calm.
