Just figured it might be neat to post links to documentaries, videos,
or documents pertaining to historical events. Sort of a look back in time.
It could be about anything music, news, movies, stars anything:)

Evertime I see and hear that Hindenburg account, it makes me cry.  That reporter had such raw emotion in his voice.  You can feel what he is feeling.

One amazing thing about the Hindenburg crash is that 62 of the 97 people on the ship survived.  It is amazing that anybody lived through that, let alone that 62 people did.

Here is a longer video that shows some of the normal operations of the Hindenburg with a short clip of the crash at the end.  I found the music kinda annoying so I turned it off while I watched the video.

I know what you mean about that music; (if you can call it that) poor choice for the background..... undecided

This looks like a video that was made for a school project.  It is a little longer then most YouTube videos.  The subject is the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago.

About 10 years ago I sold a portfolio of drawings of all the buildings in the Columbian Exposition for $25.  I could kick myself around the block for doing that...

Civil War re-enactors will mark the 147th anniversary of the Battle of Sand Ridge on a farm just south of Sikeston.   Sand Ridge was the first battle of the Civil war fought near Sikeston.  If the weather permits, my husband and I just may go watch this historical event.
