I often get frustrated, impatient, whiny, anxious, and a friend sent this to me, she received it in an email and I wanted to share it with all of you?

Dear God,

I want to thank You for what You have already done.  I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief; I am thanking You right now.  I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed; I am thanking You right now.  I am thanking You because I am alive.  I am thanking You because I made it through the day's difficulties.  I am thanking You because I have walked around the obstacles.  I am thanking You because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.  I am thanking You because Father, You haven't given up on me

As you all know, since I speak of little else, Miss Baby has changed our lives unbelievably during the past year. Yesterday we took her on a day's outing.

She was sitting with us at lunch and wanted something from our plates that she could not have. I tickled her and said something that ended with, Miss FattyCakes.

She thought I said Patty Cake. She began to clap her hands and sweetly try to recite PattyCake.  My heart just melted as she smiled a really sweet, see, I am communicating with you, smile. We went on to do pattycake together.

It doesn't take a whole lot to melt this tough hide when she is in the room, but believe me, those little clapping hands and smile, the understanding of what she was doing, just melted me for the rest of the day.

Every single day I hope I remember to Thank God for this beautiful blessing.

I am so happy for you, that you are finally able to experience the joy of a grandchild.  To know the feeling that your heart may just burst from so much love is inexplainable to someone who doesn't share the experience.  We were so busy with raising our kids, we had little time to enjoy them.  Grandchildren come to us at a time in life when we can...... wink

And in our case, so late in life that I want to savour every moment possible. Dr is sending Grandpa to two scary doctors and he is loving every minute with this precious baby. As he said this morning, the little angel days are just about over with Miss Baby. Damage prevention has to take over for awhile.

I saw a feature on TV this evening, if any of you have time or inclination, pull up KSDK TV and the article,
Volunteers Step Forward to Help Illinois Family after Reality Show Passes on Chance

the Skinner Family. These young men, ages 16 and 19 are handicapped. Physicallly, and their speech is also impaired. I don't remember their disease.

The two young men's wheelchairs won't work in the small interior of the home. Doorways and walkways are too small for them to maneuver.  So the teenagers have to crawl to the bathroom, etc. Their mother couldn't keep away the tears telling this. Extreme Makeover had chosen them for a remake of their house and then backed out.  There were many volunteers ready to re do the house. So some friends wondered, why can't they do this without Extreme Make over? And those good people are building the family a new, open house so the guys can get around the house. One of them is losing his health quicker than the other and the heartbreak these two parents have lived with for 19 years is beyond imagining.

My heart was breaking as I thanked God for my blessings. Those who nitpick spelling and grammar on a message board and/or guestbook need to smell the roses. There are so many people with real reasons to cry.

Oprah's Big Give has challanged people to go out and give in the same way.  Some of them were aired today and they were amazing.  People giving back to people.  I do believe that is how life is supposed to be lived.  There are people out there with needs that are giving what little they have to others who need it worse than they do.  Those are the people who really deserve to be helped and I love to see that happen  It's like paying it forward on a really large scale...... It’s quiet. It’s early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.  In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.

For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day’s demands. It is now that I must make a choice... Because of Calvary, I’m free to choose. And so I choose.

I CHOOSE LOVE …

No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.

I CHOOSE JOY …
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical … the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.

I CHOOSE PEACE …

I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I CHOOSE PATIENCE …

I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I’ll invite him to do so. Rather than complain that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment
to pray. Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.

I CHOOSE KINDNESS …

I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.

I CHOOSE GOODNESS …

I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.

I CHOOSE FAITHFULNESS …

Today I will keep my promises.  My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My wife will not
question my love. And my children will never fear that their father will not come home.

I CHOOSE GENTLENESS …

Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle.
If I raise my voice may it be only in praise.
If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer.
If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I CHOOSE SELF-CONTROL …

I am a spiritual being.…
After this body is dead, my spirit will soar.
I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal.
I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy.
I will be impassioned only by my faith.
I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ.
I choose self-control.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
To these I commit my day.
If I succeed, I will give thanks.
If I fail, I will seek his grace.
And then, when this day is done,
I will place my head on my pillow
and rest.

A friend sent me this in an email......gave me goosebumps...

This is really POWERFUL coming from a class of High School Students especially from this generation of students......... God Bless them, our Military Troops and America ....  Enjoy!!

Get a load of these high school kids. At the conclusion listen to the high notes on the trumpet . . . played by a high school kid? One of the fathers recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web.

The song, of course, is the " Battle Hymn Of The Republic." Be prepared . . . it will definitely send a few shivers up your spine. Click below!

This is really is fascinating. Click on the link below, then watch. Make sure your sound is on. Click in the Black Box. Watch it all the way through as it reverses the message without changing the words!  Awesome.
