It's ugly. It's stubborn. And it's all around us.

It's cellulite - the bane of bathing-suit wearers everywhere. And while you may not be able to completely banish it, there are ways to diminish those dimples.

You work hard to get yourself as toned as one of those bodies on the label of a package of health food. Except behind you are these dimples that won't go away, no matter what you do.

You have cellulite.

Where did you get it? Blame yourself:

Thank goodness that is one thing I don't have.

Visit to dr last Friday wasn't the best one ever. And she hasn't called yet with lab results so it could get even better. (not) The EKG showed more widening of the BBB's* and I have to have a stress test. I put it off until next week. I am terrified to have that test. I have cancelled it all the other times she scheduled it.

I've had a couple of stress tests and they weren't that bad.  Although It takes quite a bit of excertion to get up to the heart rate they want.  Anyway its probably better to know and then be able to do something about it before it ends up in an event like a heart attack.  If they have to do something like an angioplasty that really sounds a lot worse then it is.  At least it is not painful.   Although being in hospital sure is not fun.

I have been there for two catherizations and two angioplasties for my husband. He of course feels much better with those behind him. He just did a stress test last week. He is fairly sure he had a heart attack the first stress test he had. No one had ever mentioned it to him and then it was mentioned his first visit after the test.

I go to work everyday and walk the malls a lot on weekends and have a lot of stairs to climb at home and at work. But I live a very slow life. I don't know if I can get myself up to those exercise test levels in ten days. i read online if is several two min tests with increasing tilt and speed.

I had a "resting"stress test. This is where they inject something to make the heart rate quite a bit faster without exersion. It feel odd at first but they give you something afterward to slow it back down.

I think I am too much of a control freak to have that test Oops.  I considered it a couple of years ago and then cancelled it. It frightened me to think of laying on a treatment bed and having my heart race ... decided I would take my chances and hit the stop button on the treadmill.

I know I have to have the test but I feel as though this is taking a really big step, so many unknowns on the other side of that test. I am probably thinking it to pieces and blowing it out of proportion.

I kind of know where your coming from. When I had mine I surely thought my heart would stop,I would go into cardiac arrest and that would be IT.I am kind of glad I had it now because I found out I have taychacardia(sp?)If we had a nurse on the board I am sure they know what I mean  grin in other words my heart rate never goes under 110.I have no idea why and I WONT take meds for it.
I at this time have a ovarian cyst, that has gotten larger and quite a bit more painful.I NEED another test to make sure it is not cancer but I am so afraid of what they will find out I can't bring myself to go get any more tests either. Its scarey to think about with all the questions you ask your self!

There are nurses on this message boards as well as a bunch of mamas, all of whom care about the other posters. Oops, I don't know why you won't take meds if they have been prescribed. I don't know much about tach, but anything to do with the heart scares me into respecting it. Please check out that ovarian cyst.  Early detection of cancer is preferable to ignoring our fears  I am just as bad, not paying attention to maintenance things the doctor wants me to do -- you are young and have a great life ahead of you. And it sounds as though you might want children some day. Please have that cyst looked at!

Opps, none of us likes to go to the doctor.  I can understand where you're coming from, as far as not wanting to know, but this is important and you should have the cyst taken care of.  Please make yourself go to the doctor for this..... just do it !

I will probably have to have the chemical stress test also because of my bouts with "racing" heart, and the fact that I have bad knees.  I have not been diagnosed, and believe caffeine is the culprit in my case.  It is probably not going to worry me as much as Bingo, because having racing heart is probably just like the test, LOL.  As long as I was in a controlled environment and they were able to stop it, I think I'll be OK.

I can also understand about not wanting to be on prescription meds for the rest of your life, but if the quality of your life is affected by your condition, you should consider it.

See there, now that you have the "mother hens" going, you'll never get us off your back !   rolleyes grin

It wasn't much but I did spend 15 min + some seconds on the treadmill. My labs werent anything to shout about and the only way to reduce those tricycerides is to exercise. I had watermelon and green veggies from the salad bar for lunch and a smart one dinner.  I am trying.  So darned hot. The a/c guy could come tomorrow but there is a tee time .. so he is giving up Friday's game to be here for the a/c guy.  So he is in the basement watching the baseball game and I am cooling down with the a/c blowing on me in the office on the top floor.

I need to rename my handle, Granny Grunt.  I had a great grandmother, Maggie, who was ill the entire time I knew her. Always had a hot iron or a heating pad held against some part of her body.  Our cousins and my sister and I would call each other Maggie when we had adolescent cramps.

Fearing I am going to need the chemical testing;  the bouts with the treadmill have caused the tear in my knee to get ugly again.  Has really hurt today. They shoot horses don't they?
