Wow, the telephone bills were a lot less complicated back then..... wink

When I started working at Lauhoff in the 70's, they still had a switchboard with the things you had to plug in to answer a call or transfer one.

I cannot get your 8 Track link to work...perhaps a problem at my end.

It is interesting that some people collect and possibly still use 8 tracks. I sell things on Ebay and last summer sold and shipped 46 8 tracks to a guy in Belgium. They were mostly Country Western music from the 70s with a few pop music tapes. He paid more in shipping than his winning bid to me; but was happy with them.

That's interesting that some people still use 8 Track. I don't remember liking them that much when they were new. I did see recently that the old Atari games are also popular with some people.

I wonder if old LP's are popular on E-Bay..  I have Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Don Gibson and a host of others tucked away in a box in the closet.

I imagine that they do sell on Ebay.  There still are many people who like LPs.  It seems like I have heard that there has even been an increase in the production of new ones.

I have a few "Sun" label....a 45 rpm of Elvis and a 33.3 rpm of Johnny Cash. The Sun Recording Company was founded and owned by Sam Phillips (1952). They are a rare find and very collectible.

By 1954 he had signed contracts with Elvis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and a few others. The "Sun" recording company didn't last long after Phillips sold the contracts of these gentleman to other recording companies....cheap!  shocked  (little did he know what the future was to bring)

I had to post this because it brought back so many memories of our old house on Collett St.
